My name is Kerianne, owner of Beyond Behavior K9 Training. I believe choosing the right trainer for your dog and family is an important first step to building a happy life together.

I began my journey as a trainer working with camels, parrots and other exotic animals before becoming an Animal Care Keeper at the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, where I spent almost 10 years training and caring for cougars, badgers, birds of prey and more. ​I found my passion working with dogs and became a certified dog trainer in 2008. My early years working in daycare and boarding facilities gave me valuable experience evaluating canine behavior and body language, which taught me that reliable training goes beyond obedience—it’s about understanding a dog’s state of mind and addressing the root cause of behavior. I spent the next 10 years working with rescue organizations and other trainers before launching Beyond Behavior K9 Training in 2018.
