Our Training Philosophy

At Beyond Behavior K9 Training, we are passionate about helping dogs and owners learn how to communicate and work together.

We believe in creating fulfilled, confident dogs by understanding their unique personality and the intention behind their actions. Our use of operant and classical conditioning, combined with modern-day tools such as slip leads, prong collars and remote collars, creates clear communication of what is right and wrong and helps shape behavior while strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners.

We also believe the environment matters just as much as the methods. The behaviors that matter most—greeting guests at the door, settling when the family is relaxing, walking calmly in the neighborhood, coming when called —are all part of daily home life. By training in a home environment where those things naturally occur, your dog learns faster, with less confusion, and develops skills that actually stick. Working with your dog in a home environment allows us to address issues in real time, right where they happen.
